Little Known Fact: One day in 1998, while Steve Jobs was finalizing OSX, he spelunked into this mythic beast living in the dark Cupertino Caves. It slowly crept forward as he tried to shoot it with his lazar beam… but the gun wouldn't fire. It hadn't warmed up yet. In vain he pulled the trigger again and again with no luck. Finally, as the beast beared down on him, prismatic teeth snarling, seconds before Steve became Rainbow Breakfast, one mighty blast exploded through the creature's gullet. In the aftermath of the melee, Steve found that the creature was merely protecting its clutch of beastling eggs. Jobs brought them home, cared after them, and gave them a place to thrive in his new operating system. A video posted by Stephen Halker (@stephenhalker) on Nov 5, 2014 at 7:26am PST

I took a walk through prospect park this weekend. The leaves are changing. Some of the trees looked like they were covered in a shroud of fire A video posted by Stephen Halker (@stephenhalker) on Nov 3, 2014 at 5:52pm PST

Paul and I walked past the soon-to-be dormant wildflowers on the Highline. Trees have grown much taller since the last time I went up there. "All we have are moments.", he said to me. #somethingslastalongtime #bloom A video posted by Stephen Halker (@stephenhalker) on Nov 8, 2014 at 5:35am PST

Sometimes changes happen so seamlessly that you don't even realize you started out heading one way and ended up going the other. I started making these little tests while trying to figure out an easier way to animate type. One question led to another, and now I'm animating pine cones. #phyllotaxis #137.5 A video posted by Stephen Halker (@stephenhalker) on Nov 19, 2014 at 9:56am PST

I filmed this outside my window. I'd always thought it was an urban legend, but I guess it's true. When it gets really cold, winter bird will use quantum mechanics to stay warm. The natural world never ceases to amaze me. #nofilter #birdfacts #TheMoreYouKnow #cardinal A video posted by Stephen Halker (@stephenhalker) on Feb 24, 2015 at 12:09pm PST
